Worthd cost check for lawn and landscape crews

Lawn care software cost: what a 2, 5 and 10 person crew pays a year

Three tools lawn owners ask about, priced from the vendors' own pages: Jobber, Housecall Pro and LMN. Subscription first, then card fees, then the winter question none of them answers on the pricing page.

The short answer

A 5-person lawn crew pays $1,788 a year on Jobber Connect, $2,748 on Jobber Grow, $1,788 on Housecall Pro Essentials, or $3,564 on LMN Starter.

All billed annually where the vendor offers it. Recurring service plans on Housecall Pro need Max ($299 a month). LMN costs the most but is the only one built around landscape budgeting. Card fees can move the real bill more than the plan does: on $10,000 a month, cards cost about $202 more than bank payments.

Worthd arithmetic from each vendor's pricing page on Oct 17, 2026. Jobber: 1-user bundle plus $29 per extra user (2 people); 5 and 10 user bundles as listed. Housecall Pro: Max includes 8 users, extra users $35 a month; Basic and Essentials extra-user prices are not published. LMN: Starter covers fewer than 10 employees (1 office/crew lead plus 5 crew members), Professional is for 10+ employees; LMN also charges a one-time onboarding fee it does not publish, so year-one cost is higher than shown. Jobber lists 16+ users as contact sales.

Card fees

The cost that depends on how you get paid

Jobber charges 2.9% + 30 cents on cards and 1% on US bank payments on every plan. Take $10,000 a month in 40 invoices of $250: cards cost $302, bank payments cost $100. That is $202 a month, $2,424 a year, more than the gap between Jobber Connect and Grow for a 5-person crew. Housecall Pro lists card rates starting at 2.59% and 1% for bank payments. Illustration only; your invoice mix will differ.

Recurring visits

Where weekly mowing routes get gated

Housecall Pro lists Recurring Service Plans and live-traffic route optimization only on Max ($299 a month annual). Jobber's lawn page says it generates visits automatically for recurring jobs and does not say which plan unlocks route optimization, so confirm that in the 14-day trial before you pay. LMN's Starter includes scheduling and invoicing; real-time job costing starts at Professional ($648).

Winter

What the pricing pages say about off-season

Nothing. No vendor page describes a pause or seasonal plan. What they do say: Jobber's no-commitment monthly plan ends at the end of the billing period when you cancel, its 1-year commitment bills 12 months regardless, and annual payments are non-refundable. Arithmetic, not advice: a 2-person shop on Connect no commitment ($168 a month) that cancels for four winter months pays $1,344, vs $1,536 on annual. That only works if cancelling keeps your client list and recurring jobs, which the pricing page does not say. Ask support first.

Who it fits

Which one for which crew

1 to 3 people, mostly recurring mowing: Jobber Connect at $128 a month for two is the lowest-priced Jobber plan that covers two people. 4 to 8 people who need dispatch and recurring plans: price Housecall Pro Max against Jobber Grow ($299 vs $229 for 5, annual). Landscape companies that bid design and install work: LMN, if the $3,564 to $7,776 a year plus onboarding fits. Wrong for you: LMN for a solo mower, Housecall Pro Basic if you need a second login and recurring plans.
