Worthd cost check for tree care crews

Tree service software cost: what a 3-person crew pays a year

Three tree-care tools priced from their own pages, set against Jobber as the general-purpose option: ArboStar, SingleOps and ArborNote. Subscription first, then the user rules that move the bill, then card fees.

The short answer

A 3-person tree crew pays about $1,788 a year on Jobber Connect, $2,028 on ArboStar Starter, $2,400 on SingleOps Essential, or $3,780 on ArborNote Essential.

Each tool counts people differently, so the same crew gets four different bills. SingleOps charges nothing for crew users but charges for office users. ArborNote charges $75 a month per crew leader on top of a $240 base. ArboStar bundles one office license and one crew login. ArboStar says data migration and setup are free; the other three print no setup fee.

Worthd arithmetic from each vendor's pricing page, Nov 3, 2026. Jobber figures are from Worthd's Jobber pricing page (list prices unchanged at Research's Nov 2 recheck); the monthly column for Jobber is its no-commitment price. ArboStar prints two prices per plan without labels; its FAQ says the listed price is the yearly rate, and the lower figure is exactly 25% off the higher, matching its "Save 25% with annual billing" banner, so Worthd labels the lower figure annual. ArboStar does not label the billing interval on its extra-license prices; Worthd applies the same 25% pattern ($20 and $27). ArborNote says "Get 10% discount on 12-month subscriptions" and prints no annual dollar figure; 10% off $3,780 would be $3,402, if the discount also covers the Works crew app, which the page does not say. Which person is the "office user" is your call: two people in the office on SingleOps Essential adds $600 a year ($50 a month).

User rules

The line each vendor prints that changes your bill

SingleOps: "Crew users are free." Office or sales users cost +$50 a month on Essential, +$100 on Plus and +$125 on Premier when billed annually. ArboStar: extra office license $95 a month, extra crew login $20, annual. ArborNote: extra user $130 a month on Essential, $150 on Enterprise; read-only users unlimited and free. Jobber: $29 a month for each person past the bundle.

What the tree tools list

Features the vendors print that Jobber's plan tables do not

ArboStar lists tree inventory in Starter. ArborNote Essential lists unlimited GPS mapping and inventories, LiDAR DBH and height measurement, and AI tools. SingleOps lists tree inventory in its comparison table without saying which plans have it. Worthd's Jobber page does not list a tree inventory or a measurement tool. Check Jobber's 14-day trial before you rule it out: the gap you are paying for is $240 to $1,992 a year over Jobber Connect for this crew.

Card fees

Payment rates are printed by two of the four

Jobber charges 2.9% + 30 cents on cards and 1% on US bank payments. ArborNote Pay passes through Stripe: 2.9% + 30 cents on cards and 0.8% on ACH with a $5 cap, and ArborNote says it does not add a charge. On a $1,500 tree removal invoice that is $43.80 by card on either, $15 by ACH on Jobber and $5 by ACH on ArborNote. SingleOps and ArboStar list payments but publish no rates, so ask for the card and ACH rate in writing. Illustration only: on 10 invoices of $1,500 a month the ACH difference between Jobber and ArborNote is $100 a month.

Who it fits

Under about $2,000 a year and mostly quotes, schedules and invoices: Jobber Connect at $1,788 is the lowest of the four for 3 people. One truck, owner plus crew, wants tree inventory: ArboStar Starter at $149 to $169 a month. Several crews, few office staff: SingleOps, because crew users are free. Measurement and mapping heavy sales: ArborNote, at the highest price of the four.

Who it is wrong for

ArborNote for a solo owner who only needs invoicing: $240 a month before the crew app. SingleOps for a shop with 3 people in the office: the office-user fees stack. Any tool here for a crew that wants the contract term before signing: SingleOps, ArboStar and ArborNote all print prices, but none prints its contract term on the pricing page. Not covered: Treezi and TreeROI, whose prices Worthd has not captured.
