Worthd cost check for painting contractors

Painting contractor software cost: real monthly prices

DripJobs, Estimate Rocket, PaintScout, Jobber and Housecall Pro priced from their own pages for a painter with a crew of 1 to 5, plus what each one will not print.

Prices checked Nov 5, 2026Reviewed by Worthd EditorialUS dollars, plan fee onlyUpdated Nov 5, 2026
The short answer

A solo painter pays $97 to $139 a month on a painting tool, or $59 on Housecall Pro Basic. An office person plus two painters pays $139 on Estimate Rocket or PaintScout and $149 on Jobber or Housecall Pro.

Painting tools price by office seat, not by crew. DripJobs includes one admin user and will not print the price of a second. Estimate Rocket bundles 3, 7 or 15 full users and charges $10 a month for each field user. PaintScout sells $20 seats. Totals below are plan fees only, before card fees and tax.

Worthd arithmetic from each vendor's pricing page, Nov 5, 2026. DripJobs Pro $97 and Advanced $147 include 1 admin user; additional users are "contact for pricing". Estimate Rocket Launch $139 includes 3 full users; field users are $10 a month each, so 5 people (3 full, 2 field) is $159. PaintScout Sales is $99 a month billed annually ($119 monthly) and its seats are $20 a month; the page labels it "1 User" without saying who that user is, so the 3- and 5-person cells assume the owner is the included user. Housecall Pro: Basic $59 (1 user), Essentials $149 (5 users), billed annually. Jobber Connect: 1 user $99, 5 users $149, billed annually, from Worthd's Jobber pricing page and Housecall Pro pricing page. Monthly billing costs more at Jobber, Housecall Pro and PaintScout.

Trials, contracts and setup fees

Estimate Rocket30 days; card requirement not published90-day money-back guarantee (100% of payments in the first 90 days); minimum term not publishedDone for You $995 (limited-time) or $1,595

Housecall Pro14 days, no cardNo long-term contracts, per its painting page. See Housecall Pro pricingNone printed
Jobber14 days, no cardAnnual payments non-refundable. See Jobber pricingNone printed

A setup package costs more than a year of the base plan on both tools that sell one: Estimate Rocket $995 to $1,595 against $1,668 for a year of Launch, PaintScout $999 to $1,999 against $1,188 for a year of Sales billed annually (Worthd arithmetic). Both are optional, so ask what you lose by skipping it.

A dated offer, ends Dec 31, 2026

Estimate Rocket's off-season discount, worth $208.50 on Launch

Estimate Rocket's pricing page shows a 30-day free trial, then 50% off for 3 months, and says "Offer ends 12/31/2026" and cannot be combined with other offers. On Launch that is $69.50 for three months instead of $139. The first 12 billed months come to 3 x $69.50 + 9 x $139 = $1,459.50, against $1,668 at list, a saving of $208.50. Accelerate is $129.50 and Expand $179.50 for the same three months. Prices return to list afterwards, so compare the list price. Checked Nov 5, 2026.

Who it fits

Owner who quotes and invoices alone and wants painting-specific estimates: DripJobs Pro at $97 or PaintScout Sales at $99, if you can live without a free trial on DripJobs. Office person plus two painters: Estimate Rocket Launch at $139 includes all three as full users, the only painting tool here whose 3-person price is printed in full. Painter who wants one general app for jobs, invoices and payments: Jobber Connect or Housecall Pro Essentials at $149 for up to 5 users.

Who it is wrong for

DripJobs for a shop that needs a second login today, since the price of one is not published. Housecall Pro Basic for anyone with a second user, because extra users are not sold below the next plan. Anyone who needs a Paint Pals price: its pricing page could not be read by Worthd (blocked to automated tools), so it is not in the table.

What Jobber and Housecall Pro say about painters

Jobber and Housecall Pro each have a painting contractor page. Neither prints a price: Jobber sends you to its pricing page and Housecall Pro does too, so the table above uses their normal plans. Worthd did not confirm any painting-only feature on either plan, such as measuring walls or square-foot estimating, so test one real estimate in the free trial before you commit. Search results also show a "free to a few hundred dollars a year" range for painting software; the prices above sit at $708 to $2,148 a year for the same crew sizes.

Frequently asked

Painting software questions

What does painting contractor software cost for one person?

From vendor pages checked Nov 5, 2026: DripJobs Pro $97 a month (1 admin user, monthly billing), PaintScout Sales $99 a month billed annually, Estimate Rocket Launch $139 a month, Housecall Pro Basic $59 and Jobber Connect $99 (both billed annually, 1 user). Painting-specific tools run $38 to $80 a month more than Housecall Pro Basic for one person.

What does it cost for an office person plus two painters?

Estimate Rocket Launch is $139 a month (3 full users included, $1,668 a year). PaintScout Sales is $139 a month ($99 plus two $20 seats, Worthd arithmetic), $218 with the Operations add-on. Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials are each $149 a month billed annually. DripJobs prints no price for a second user, so a 3-person total cannot be calculated.

Does DripJobs have a free trial?

No. DripJobs' pricing page says it does not offer a free trial. It is month-to-month with no contract, per its FAQ. Pro and Advanced include 1 admin user, and additional users are priced on request.

Does Estimate Rocket have a free trial or a discount right now?

Yes. Its pricing page shows a 30-day free trial, then 50% off for 3 months ($69.50 on Launch instead of $139), and says the offer ends 12/31/2026 and cannot be combined with other offers. It also prints a 90-day money-back guarantee.

Is a setup package worth the money?

It costs more than a year of the base plan on both tools that sell one. Estimate Rocket's Done for You setup is $995 (limited-time) or $1,595, against $1,668 for a year of Launch. PaintScout's Success Packages are $999, $1,499 and $1,999 one-time, against $1,188 for a year of Sales billed annually. Both are optional.

Can I just use Jobber or Housecall Pro for painting?

Both name painters on industry pages but sell painters the same plans as every trade, and neither industry page prints a price. Worthd did not confirm that either has painting-specific estimating such as measuring walls. Test a real estimate in the free trial first.
