CallRail: plans, included minutes and usage fees

A call tracking tool that gives each ad or page its own phone number and shows which one rang. Prices read from CallRail's own pricing page on Oct 31, 2026.

Checked Oct 31, 2026US dollars, per monthReviewed by Worthd Editorial
Short answer

CallRail starts at $50 a month for 5 local numbers and 250 local minutes. Usage can add to the bill.

Its pricing tables differ on whether local-minute charges include transcription. The examples below separate base and local-minute subtotals from other charges; confirm the package and rates before budgeting.

Best for

Where it works well

Shops spending real money on Google or Microsoft ads or a pay-per-lead site, where knowing which source made the phone ring decides where the next $500 goes. One number per source, recorded and transcribed calls, texts and form tracking.

May not fit

Who should look elsewhere

Tracking may not justify its cost if knowing the source of a call would not change a useful business decision. If you need an office phone rather than source attribution, see the business phone comparison. For tracking, compare the confirmed bill with the work or wasted spending you could realistically recover in the cost and break-even guide.

Base and local-minute subtotals

CallRail conditional monthly base and local-minute subtotals; other charges may apply
Local minutes used a month$50 base + $0.05 extra minutes$50 base + $0.06 extra minutes
250$50.00$50.00
500$62.50$65.00
1,000$87.50$95.00
2,000$137.50$155.00

Worthd arithmetic: $50 base plus local minutes above 250 at the indicated rate. These are subtotals, not complete bills. The $0.06 table labels local minutes as including transcription; the $0.05 tables list transcription separately. Add any separately billed transcription, SMS, extra numbers and taxes. Five extra local numbers add $15 a month at $3 each.

Free trial

14 days, no card

Every account gets a 14-day trial with no credit card and no billing until it ends, per the pricing page FAQ. SMS is available only after the trial.

Yearly billing

12 months due upfront

On a yearly plan the full 12 months of base fee is due at signup and usage is billed monthly. The page says "save up to 10%" but prints no yearly prices, so a saving cannot be worked out until you see the checkout.

Contract and cancellation

Check the term before choosing annual billing

CallRail's terms of use describe 30 days' notice for a month-to-month term. Annual subscriptions run for 12 months and renew for another year unless notice of non-renewal is given at least 30 days before the term ends. Subscription fees remain due through the current term, with no prorated refund, subject to applicable law.

The account-closing guide says an administrator can close the account and retain access until the billing period ends. It also offers immediate tracking-number deactivation, which releases those numbers irrecoverably. Confirm your notice deadline and any number-transfer arrangements before closing. Use the cancel-by date finder with your confirmed renewal date and notice period.

Price-change terms also specify notice and paid-term conditions; a posted rate change does not by itself establish an immediate charge to your account.

Pricing details to confirm

Different tables describe different allowances

  • The $0.06 local-minute table says transcription is included; the $0.05 tables list separate transcription charges.
  • Lead Conversion analysis minutes appear as 10,000 in one table and 2,500 in another. Transcription minutes are a separate allowance.
  • Voice Assist gives both 50-call and 55-call thresholds for its $1 charge on calls over 15 seconds.

Ask CallRail to confirm the package, included allowances and usage rates in writing. The examples here are not a quote for your account.

Enter the full monthly subscription and separate charges from each quote in the private worksheet. Leave unknown costs blank; it does not calculate CallRail usage fees for you.
