The short answer

2 plumbers: Jobber about $128 a month, Housecall Pro $149. 3 plumbers: $149 each.

Both prices are billed annually. The bigger split is the plan: Housecall Pro puts recurring service plans only on Max, $299 a month with 8 users, while Jobber lists recurring jobs as a standard job type. On $10,000 a month of online card payments the two tools are within about $3 a month of each other, and the card line is about $300, double the subscription. Prices checked Oct 28, 2026.

Card fees on $10,000 a month in 40 invoices

Monthly card and bank fees on 40 invoices totaling $10,000
Payment typeJobberHousecall Pro
Online card invoice$302 (2.9% + 30c)$299 (2.99%)
Card reader$282 (Tap to Pay, 2.7% + 30c)$259 (2.59%)
Bank transfer (ACH)$100 (1%)$100 (1%)
  • Online card invoices differ by about $3 a month. Moving $5,000 of the $10,000 to bank transfer saves about $100 a month on either tool.
  • That beats the $21 a month subscription gap at 2 plumbers.

Method: fee per invoice = rate x $250 plus any fixed part, times 40. Housecall Pro's pricing page prints only "as low as 2.59%" and 1% for bank payments; the 2.99% online-invoice rate is from Worthd's Housecall Pro pricing page. Jobber rates from Jobber's pricing page. Worked example, not a quote.
